The Sheep Pursuit · Virginia, USA
Virginia Police Chase a Runaway Sheep Through a Neighborhood, Catch It in a Backyard and Announce: No Charges Yet, but Possible "Baaa-Violations."

Police in Manassas Park, Virginia, got a call on Wednesday about a suspect on the loose in the Blooms Crossing neighborhood. The suspect was a sheep.
According to the department's Facebook post, officers found the sheep near Nancy Street and detained it after what they called a brief "food pursuit" that led straight into someone's backyard. The post came with running and lettuce emojis.
Officers said the sheep was "less than cooperative" but was taken into custody safe and sound, and appeared to be in good spirits.
Then the department did what every police department with a social media account dreams of doing: "No charges have been filed at this time, but we do suspect a few outstanding baaa-violations."
Nobody knows yet where the sheep came from. Police are asking anyone missing a four-legged fugitive to call the Manassas Park Police Department.
